In 2003, after moving to South Africa from Congo (DRC), Josue Musenge AKA Black Jack, set out to become Africa's first black street magician. Black Jack learned how to become a professional magician in 2012, and along with a small team, he filmed all his performances on the streets of Johannesburg and backstage at every event.
Within a year, he had footage of performing for audiences at corporate events and private functions, including celebrities and government officials. Posting those videos on social media gained Black Jack a following of fans around the world and into the media spotlight.
With performances at Gold Reef City, Monte Casino, Silver Stars casino, on national TV and radio stations and newspapers, Black Jack has set his goal to share magic with the whole of Africa. In August 2016, he started his tour at Diepkloof (Soweto) with the purpose of educating people more on the art of magic. The tour continues reaching schools, hospitals, malls, old age homes, orphanages, community halls and theatres.
